Production Control Group Leader

Job Summary

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Group Leader to join our Production Control team at AISIN North Carolina Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders and Management to drive Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery expectations.
  • Supervise 2-4 Team Leaders and 20 to 40 Team Members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Work closely with the Production floor to identify and resolve problems within the PC Conveyance department.
  • Continuously review plant routes to optimize cycle time efficiency.
  • Manage the movement of parts to the line from standard inventory locations via forklifts and E-Cars.
  • Maintain and track powered equipment assets, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and implementing effective inventory management strategies.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed, while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Provide training and guidance to Team Members on powered equipment, in conjunction with the EHS Department.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional activities to resolve issues and improve processes.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in Production Control or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively train and manage the performance of others.
  • Well-organized and able to manage time effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with frequent interruptions.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
