Manufacturing Engineer

Join SpaceX, a pioneering company in space technology, as a Manufacturing Engineer. We are seeking a skilled professional to design and build flow control devices and mechanisms for our Starship and Super Heavy spacecraft.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop state-of-the-art flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship and Super Heavy.
- Collaborate with development and design engineers, internal machine shops, and external vendors to ensure parts are designed for manufacturability.
- Implement flight-like acceptance testing and maintain robust work instructions.
- Support component-level testing, including proof and leak, fluid flow, cryogenic, and functional checkouts.
- Target zero workmanship defects and minimize fleet containments.
- Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design and hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Leadership or mentorship experience and effective communication skills.
- Experience with fluid and electromechanical components, such as valves, actuators, regulators, motors, gear trains, and sensors.
- Knowledge of principles of fluid dynamics, mechanics, materials, thermodynamics, and electrical circuits.
- Proficient in interpretation of fluid schematics, engineering drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists.
- Experience in software development in SQL, Python, or C#.
- Competitive salary range: $95,000 - $130,000 per year.
