Dietary Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Assistant to join our team at Winner Regional Health. As a Dietary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of food served to our residents, patients, and customers.

• Prepare and assemble resident diet trays according to diet card instructions
• Maintain proper temperatures of food and replenish food items as needed
• Restock food areas and prepare desserts, beverages, and other items
• Deliver food carts to residents in LTC and patients admitted to the hospital
• Pass PM snacks to LTC residents and clear tables in LTC dining room
• Sanitize equipment and maintain a clean and safe environment
• Operate dishwashing machine and general cleaning and sanitizing machines and floor

• Eighth grade, H.S. Graduate or GED
• No previous experience necessary; on-the-job training provided
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to deal with people in a professional manner
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and general nutrition

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and high census patient days. The employee must be able to work effectively in a team setting and maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations.

This position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to push and pull carts and equipment, and work in a kitchen environment with exposure to extreme noise and vibration.
