Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints to ascertain specifications, tolerances, and identify stock lists on schematics
  • Fabricate structural components using raw materials
  • Employ welding machinery to join structural elements
  • Examine fabricated parts to confirm accurate dimensions
  • Utilize shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives for component modification
  • Capability to saw, miter, and assemble fabrications
  • Replace any damaged or defective structural components
  • Expertise in TIG and MIG welding techniques
  • Comply with OSHA safety regulations and ITAR standards
  • Carry out additional assigned tasks as necessary

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to maintain focus for prolonged periods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional welding proficiency
  • Solid mathematical skills, particularly in algebra and geometry
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Comprehension of blueprints

Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a fitter
  • A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience

Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification

Experience Level:
