As a Radiopharmaceutical Specialist at Optum, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of healthcare.

About the Role

This position involves working as part of a dynamic team to administer radiopharmaceuticals, handle radiation safety protocols, and maintain equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatments for patients.

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist who can demonstrate proficiency with radiopharmaceuticals, adhere to radiation safety guidelines, and provide excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer oral and intravenous radiopharmaceuticals and standard adjunctive medications as authorized
  • Demonstrate proficiency with radiopharmaceuticals including proper selection, ordering, handling and preparation, storage and disposal, and proper radioactive materials documentation
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the nuclear camera and associated equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with Federal and State guidelines

Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Completion of a course in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current NMTCB and/or ARRT licensure
  • Active WA state license or pending application
Compensation and Benefits

The hourly range for this role is $40.00 to $70.00 per hour, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors.
