Dishroom Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Inns of Aurora. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishroom and kitchen areas.

• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and other kitchen items by hand or using the dish machine.
• Store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Maintain the dishroom and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
• Remove garbage and recyclables from the dishroom and kitchen areas.
• Assist with food preparation and service as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, including dishes, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move frequently throughout the kitchen.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and management.
• Flexibility with scheduling and ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

• Previous experience in a dishroom or kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures in a food service environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
