Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is a key member of the Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety, quality, and production on their assigned shift. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and train hourly employees to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
  • Production Management: Oversee the completion of shift production and reporting paperwork, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Communication: Immediately report any unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production Manager.
  • Quality Control: Meet ADS and AASHTO quality specifications for all products produced, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Assist with the Preventive Maintenance program as required, troubleshooting process and mechanical problems, and performing repairs and adjustments to meet production needs.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively manage available resources to accomplish assigned production duties, ensuring efficient use of time and materials.
  • Training and Development: Maintain and build job skills through company training programs, ensuring employees are properly trained in safety, quality, and job functions.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines, ensuring high-quality products are produced in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience as an ADS line operator or related experience, with supervisory training or related experience preferred.
  • Skills: Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities, leadership skills, supervision skills, motivational skills, basic computer skills, ADS extrusion process knowledge, decision-making and problem-solving abilities, and ability to communicate with various levels within the organization.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Mobility: Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet, stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours, and perform physical labor for extended periods in temperature extremes.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to use hands, arms, and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods, and perform full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles.
