The Senior Director, US MSL Team at SpringWorks Therapeutics is responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for the medical science liaison team.
Accountability for execution and attainment of medical objectives in alignment with the Medical Affairs Leadership is a key aspect of this role.
This position will be accountable for managing a field-based medical team to engage in high-quality communications regarding the science and clinical applications to various external stakeholders on regional/national/international levels.
The individual will obtain important insights about current practice, treatment landscape, and emerging scientific and clinical data in a fully compliant manner.
In addition, the Senior Director, US MSL Team combines exceptional business acumen and clinical expertise and is expected to build strong cross-functional relationships with other colleagues at SpringWorks.
Key Responsibilities include translating medical strategic priorities into clear field medical goals, objectives, and initiatives with clear KPIs and metrics that demonstrate value within the Medical Affairs therapeutic area.
Developing the external KOL and HCP engagement strategy and integrated launch plan as a member of the Medical Affairs team is another critical responsibility.
The individual will ensure operational excellence of the team and execution of all efforts, initiatives, and activities, including development of KOL engagement and geographical management plans.
Cross-functional collaboration within Medical Affairs, US Commercial, Clinical Development, Market Access, Business Development, and other functions for synergistic opportunities is essential.
Maintaining clinical, scientific, and technical expertise and serving as a resource for the FMT as well as internal and external stakeholders is also crucial.
Management and development of all team members, including hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, performance management, and career development, are part of the job requirements.
This position may need to lead a territory as business demands require.
Establishing performance metrics, training, and development programs, and leveraging new technology to increase the ability to identify and segment thought leaders and clinical experts, and improve operational effectiveness in the field are also key responsibilities.
Leveraging data analytics to establish reporting metrics and dashboards, continues to refine process for collection, interpretation, and timely communication of meaningful field-gathered intelligence to internal partners.
Identifying, recommending, and developing projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the field medical team to ensure operational excellence.
Assist with strategy and generation of health economic and outcomes data and presentation of such data to payer audiences.
Effectively manages administrative activities of self and team members: includes CRM database entry and insight collection and reporting, etc.
Fosters a working environment of integrity, compliance, and alignment with the SpringWorks corporate values.
Determine headcount capacity and directly accountable for an operating budget and alignment with US medical affairs resource needs.
Develop national key performance indicators for field medical team.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
