About the Role

System One is seeking a highly skilled Housing Specialist to join our team. As a Housing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process applications for eligibility and screening, ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations and HCV policy.
  • Re-certify participants' status to ensure continued eligibility, preparing contracts and conducting briefings as needed.
  • Verify information collected from multiple sources, accurately and in accordance with HUD prescribed verification procedures and the Administrative Plan.
  • Notify participants and owners of the results of interim re-certification, making recommendations for termination of assistance or HAP contract when appropriate.
  • Utilize computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to create and manipulate documents, ensuring efficient program administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Previous experience working within the housing industry, with a preference for experience with socially disadvantaged individuals.
