Overview: Med Surg 6 is a 32-bed adult medical surgical telemetry unit dedicated to delivering exceptional post-operative surgical care. Our mission is to enhance and restore patients' health through collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Patient Care Focus: We cater to a diverse patient demographic, addressing conditions such as gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and respiratory illnesses, along with post-surgical care for General Surgery and Orthopedics. Our approach emphasizes assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and the restoration of health in a supportive and culturally aware environment.

Role of the Registered Nurse: The Registered Nurse is accountable for planning and delivering patient care in alignment with established Nursing Standards of Care. This role requires initiative, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage patients with complex needs effectively. The Registered Nurse will take full responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, reporting directly to a designated nurse manager or clinical manager.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 2 years of current Med/Surg RN experience
  • Preferred: Telemetry experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current Massachusetts RN license required
  • AHA or ARC Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Incentives:

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus: Offered to newly hired experienced RNs with 2 years of experience in the specialty.

Retention Bonus: Newly hired experienced RNs committing to a minimum of two years of employment may be eligible for a retention bonus of $10,000. Part-time employees may qualify for a prorated retention bonus. Please consult with your HR Advisor for further details.
