The American Academy of Ophthalmology is seeking a highly qualified Neuro-Ophthalmologist to enhance our esteemed Department of Ophthalmology. The rank of appointment will be aligned with the applicant's academic achievements and professional experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. M.D. degree or its equivalent
  2. Completion of an accredited residency in either ophthalmology or neurology
  3. Fellowship training specifically in neuro-ophthalmology
  4. Eligibility for licensure in Texas
  5. Board certification or eligibility through the American Board of Ophthalmology or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

We welcome applications from those interested in part-time opportunities. The successful candidate will participate in the clinical management of patients within our neuro-ophthalmology practice, as well as contribute to the education and training of residents and fellows. While an interest in clinical or translational research is appreciated, it is not a prerequisite. Additionally, a passion for comprehensive or subspecialty surgical ophthalmology is valued.
