About the Position:

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide therapeutic services in a mental health clinic and/or inpatient psychiatric facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mental health evaluations and make diagnoses
  • Administer and interpret projective tests
  • Conduct individual and group psychotherapy
  • Participate in staff conferences and recommend treatment approaches
  • Assist in developing and organizing a program of clinic treatment
  • Direct case conferences and serve as a consultant to other clinic staff
  • Confer with patient's relatives regarding illness and treatment
  • Assist in establishing psychiatric programs and policies
  • Provide consultation as needed to establish a plan of care for patients
  • Perform therapeutic services within the organization as requested
  • Keep medical records and prepare psychiatric reports
  • Testify in judicial proceedings on matters concerning petitions and affidavits

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry, as well as current developments in the field
  • Ability to diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action
  • Ability to prepare records and reports
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality
  • Current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker required
  • Current Montana driver's license may be required
