Job Summary

The Schochet Companies is seeking a skilled Part Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all types of work orders from residents, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
  • Perform resident apartment turnover tasks, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Be available to complete on-call duties, responding to emergencies and providing timely assistance.
  • Conduct property inspections and participate in inspection teams to identify areas for improvement.
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and ensure the overall efficiency of our properties.
Requirements
  • Previous maintenance experience required, with a strong background in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to lift moderate weights (30-60 lbs) on a regular basis and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional heavy lifting may be required, and the ability to perform heavy manual labor is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation for on-call duties.
Benefits
  • $150 premium paid for all weeks spent on-call.
  • Time and a half rate for emergency calls, plus travel time.
