At Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Recovery Support Specialist I to join our team. As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing peer recovery support services to patients enrolled in our substance use disorder and/or mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational groups, coaching, engagement, transportation, supervision, patient advocacy, and coordination of needed patient services to promote recovery, resiliency, and self-sufficiency.
  • Assist patients in developing community living skills and utilizing community resources to support their recovery process.
  • Encourage patient engagement and self-management to promote wellness and recovery.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to integrate and coordinate health services across mental health, SUD, housing, and primary medical care.
  • Attend assigned trainings, required staff meetings, and be responsible for continuing education and professional development to provide quality services.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or above
  • Class C License or Class B license (if required by job assignment)
  • Computer literate
  • Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification (PSSC)
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in behavioral healthcare and/or providing peer support services.
