Willamette University, a nationally-renowned private institution, seeks a highly motivated Residence Life Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Student Affairs division, you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive community for our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement residential programs and activities that promote student engagement, academic success, and personal growth.
  • Supervise and train student staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in their roles.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a seamless transition for students from high school to college life.
  • Address student conduct issues in a fair and consistent manner, upholding the University's Student Code of Conduct.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of residential staff experience.
  • Ability to articulate residential life program philosophy and a commitment to student development and social awareness issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Student Personnel or related discipline.
  • Two years of residential staff experience with responsibility in advising, supervision, student conduct, or program planning.
