Yard Jockey Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Yard Jockey to join our team at US Foods. As a Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods to and from our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods to and from our facilities
  • Communicate with dispatchers and warehouse supervisors to coordinate deliveries and pickups
  • Load and unload trailers, and perform other tasks as needed
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence
  • Minimum of six months of non-CDL commercial driving experience preferred
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission preferred
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
