This temporary role is focused on ensuring a hygienic and orderly environment within the veterinary facility through consistent stall and cage upkeep, thorough cleaning and disinfection practices, and effective waste management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide basic care and restraint for equine and farm animal patients.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the hospital.
- Support small animal hospital operations as needed, performing similar duties.
This position requires availability for evening shifts, typically from Sunday to Thursday, with hours subject to the needs of the hospital and holiday schedules.
Qualifications:Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in handling and restraining equine and farm animals, along with knowledge of animal husbandry, cleaning protocols, and basic facility maintenance is essential.
Required Skills:- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts and pressure washers.
- Proficient in managing inventory and accurately measuring chemical solutions for cleaning.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Experience in providing care for equine species is highly desirable. Familiarity with veterinary settings and knowledge of compliance with infectious disease control measures and safety programs is advantageous.
Licensing:A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Compensation:The anticipated hiring range for this role is $15 per hour.
