Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Brookhaven Health Care Facility LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the routine upkeep of all areas of our facility, both inside and outside the building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Manage routine maintenance of exterior areas, including green spaces and parking lots
- Complete non-routine cleaning tasks according to specified job orders
- Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
- Respond to emergency cleaning and upkeep requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure all rooms are maintained and fully equipped
- Troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, lighting, and indoor climate control as necessary
- Implement and maintain building safety rules and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
