Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join our team at American Cast Iron Pipe. This critical role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining programs to minimize employee exposure to physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental monitoring, including air and noise sampling, to assess workplace safety.
  • Use industrial hygiene equipment to evaluate the need for further assessments and recommend control measures to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Analyze data on occupational illnesses and incidents, investigate workplace accidents to identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of health and safety regulations and provide expert consultation on occupational health issues.
  • Develop and deliver training on safety topics and advise on workers' compensation claims related to workplace exposures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least one year of experience in an Industrial Hygiene role, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or a related field; certification in Environmental Health or Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent; three or more years' experience working in an Industrial Hygiene role; previous experience working in a heavy industrial environment.
