About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fiscal Analyst 3 - Billing Specialist to join our team at South Puget Sound Community College. As a key member of our Business Office, you will be responsible for managing all billings of non-grant contracts and non-student billing for the college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Running Start Team to gather data necessary for accurate billing and create monthly/quarterly invoices for School Districts.
  • Collaborate with Student Services to bill for College in the High School fees (CiHS) from high schools participating in the program and create monthly/quarterly invoices.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the college to create invoices for programs such as Dental Office and Events & Management.
  • Collaborate with AR Fiscal Specialist 2 and/or Financial Aid Department to create invoices for Financial Aid State Grants.
  • Collaborate with Student Financial Manager and/or Accounting Manager to create invoices for Financial Aid Federal Grants, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Manager to bill the Office of the State Treasurer for VPA State Reimbursements.
  • Assist with daily and monthly bank reconciliations and coordinate daily cash receipts with cash disbursements.
  • Perform complex analyses including a synopsis of ongoing programs and multi-sub accounts for proper accounting of revenue received.
  • Assist with training and development of fiscal-related professional staff regarding financial methods and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Budgeting, or related field, with 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
  • Two to three years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant.
  • Advanced knowledge of computers and software applications, especially MS Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with accounts receivable/payable and general ledger accounts.
  • Strong organizational skills, strong aptitude for attention to detail and accuracy of information.
  • Reliability to be on the job and be a productive team member in a busy department with monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines and seasonal workload requirements.
