As a key member of the Baylor St Luke's Medical Center team, the Director of Pre Admission Testing will be responsible for coordinating patient flow throughout perioperative services areas from admission to discharge.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent leadership skills, with the ability to act as a clinical resource for problem solving and assist staff with patient-related issues.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing staff competence in the delivery of nursing care
- Ensuring cost-effective operations and initiatives for efficient use of resources
- Supporting unit-based performance enhancement projects and implementing recommendations based on outcomes
- Promoting a philosophy of shared leadership and individual accountability
- Participating in hiring processes, staff coaching, and counseling
Qualifications for this role include:
- A Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of leadership experience
- Or a Master's Degree with no experience
- BLS certification with the American Heart Association
