Perioperative Services Director

As a key member of the Chi team, the Perioperative Services Director will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of quality nursing care in the perioperative services areas. This role requires a strong leader who can manage the delivery of patient care, improve performance, and maintain a fiscally responsible department.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate patient flow throughout the perioperative services areas from admission to discharge.
• Serve as a clinical resource for problem-solving and assist staff with patient-related issues.
• Develop staff competence in the delivery of nursing care and provide safe, quality care directly to surgical patients as needed.
• Facilitate unit-based performance enhancement programs and projects, and implement recommendations based on performance measures and outcomes.
• Promote a philosophy of shared leadership and individual accountability, and encourage participation of staff in scheduling assignments and outcomes management.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and minimum of three years of leadership experience, or five years of leadership experience in the discipline, or Master's degree with no experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Specialty certification preferred in the area of practice.
