Distribution Center Splitters/Pickers Job Description

At Runnings, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Distribution Center Splitters/Pickers to join our team. As a key member of our distribution team, you will play a critical role in preparing product for shipment to our retail locations and receiving product from vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Preparation: Scan merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment, print price tags, and break down merchandise into smaller quantities for shipping.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for accurate allocation of quantities, submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary, and cross-check quantities to packing slips.
  • Warehouse Operations: Load merchandise onto proper pallets, shrink wrap when necessary, and practice safety in the workplace by using safe work habits.
  • Customer Service: Complete daily pick orders for all stores, rotate stock in bins, and manage bin inventories.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Skills: Computer skills, frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting.
Work Environment:

Distribution Center environment with cold and warm conditions.

Equipment and Tools:
  • Computer, calculator, scanner, telephone, fax, copy machine, computer software and network, pallet jack, small hand tools, and lift trucks.
