Job Summary:

The Software Architect role at Aptiv is a critical position that translates requirements into software architecture, defining configurations, interfaces, services, and software design rules. This individual will own the static and dynamic architecture definition, documentation, and implementation, presenting it to customers and internally during design reviews and software quality audits.

Key Responsibilities:

Define, document, and implement product software architecture
Discuss and define software building blocks with suppliers
Define third-party software building block integration and software interfaces
Maximize reusability, coherence, and cohesion of software components
Define efficient and effective communication interfaces between software components
Present design reviews, software quality audits, and critical embedded system issues to customers and internally

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software Development, Mechatronics, or similar
5+ years of experience as an Automotive Embedded Software Engineer
3+ years of experience as an Automotive Embedded Software Architect
Strong Automotive Embedded Software development experience
Proficiency in technical documentation and summary
AUTOSAR knowledge and hands-on experience
Automobile Cybersecurity
Ability to work in a virtual team environment
Ability to network and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization
Team-oriented and self-driven

Nice to Have:

5+ years of experience as an Automotive Embedded Software Architect
Prior hands-on experience in Functional Safety (ASIL)
Linux OS software development in an embedded product
