Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic imaging films and performing routine diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule outpatient tests and procedures at hospitals via telephone, explaining simple tests and preparation required to patients.

Position patients and adjust equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures, ensuring safety principles, radiation protection, and patient comfort.

Record test results and monitor patient data, maintaining separate reports on all diagnostic radiographs.

File and maintain shipping and receiving logs of radiographs and other diagnostic tests requested, as well as current MSDS forms for the radiology department.

Take x-rays of various body parts to diagnose disease or injury, calibrate and maintain x-ray equipment, and maintain an efficient, organized, and clean work area.

Report problems or potential issues to practice management, ensuring a smooth operation of the radiology department.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required, with a graduate degree from an accredited Limited Radiology Technology training program.

Non-Certified Radiologic Technician (NCT) license issued by a state agency or passing the Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography exam issued by ARRT in one of the following modalities: Head, Chest, Core, Spine, or Extremities.

Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
