Job Title: Surety Senior Claims Professional Attorney

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Surety Senior Claims Professional Attorney to join our team. This is a virtual position, allowing you to work from home and enjoy a flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to ensure accurate claims handling.
  • Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements to resolve claims efficiently.
  • Draft coverage and denial letters, underwriter notifications, and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare case summary reports for significant reserve increases and trial preparation.
  • Direct the activities of defense counsel to ensure effective claim resolution.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Legal area, or JD and 5 or more years of legal practice experience in the insurance area.
  • Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s).
  • Experience in insurance claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment.
  • Negotiation experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Member of the bar.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Zurich offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $170,000.00.
