Family Physician Director

The OpportunityAs an Office Medical Director, you'll have the chance to lead your local team in demonstrating clinical excellence and practicing sustainability. You'll collaborate with your manager, the District Medical Director, and the Office Manager to solve problems and shape our organizational priorities. This role offers opportunities for continuous learning and professional development, as well as the chance to build a diverse and effective team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of in-office providers and ensure they meet our clinical standards and patient care needs
- Guide and support providers' professional development
- Partner with the Office Manager to support a collaborative, positive office community
- Manage communication between your office and other districts, regional, and central teams
- Owning specific office management and HR functions
- Manage a patient panel with a broad array of patient needs
- Treat patients in-office or in testing centers, as well as conduct occasional tele-health visits
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Enrolled in or completed an accredited Internal or Family Medicine residency program
- At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient primary care setting or completed a residency program in the last 5 years
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year managing a team of providers
- Board certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year of your start date
- State licensed in Texas, obtained before your start date
