Power Plant Operations Specialist

As a Power Plant Operations Specialist at Talen Energy, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the safety, operations, and compliance of our power generating units. You will use your engineering expertise to design, develop, and improve power plant operations, and lead functional teams and projects during outage and non-outage periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, and provide advice on issues within the engineering field.
Lead functional teams and projects during outage and non-outage periods, and maintain plant facilities mechanical and electrical equipment through continuous improvement in a safe, efficient, and economical working condition.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a college or university accredited by ABET or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.
Level/Title of engineer will be based on years of related engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Power Plant Experience.
