North Point Technology is seeking a TS/SCI Cleared Cloud Architect. Ideal candidates should be self-driven, quick-thinking, and inquisitive problem solvers with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, along with a minimum of four years of pertinent experience. Applicants must have a solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and be well-versed in automation tools for creating digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines). In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining the DevSecOps infrastructure, including GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, and SonarQube across various classification domains.
- Creating and managing CI/CD pipelines, which involves building code (primarily Java) through Jenkins multibranch pipelines and deploying software using a combination of Jenkins pipelines and Puppet.
- Overseeing the maintenance of Kubernetes clusters (RKE2 and Rancher) and automating the deployment of containers into the cluster utilizing Helm and Rancher.
- Managing the COTS/FOSS applications utilized by the program, including Apache HTTP, Tomcat, Artemis, Ignite, MongoDB, and others.
Essential Qualifications
- Proficiency with DevSecOps tools and methodologies (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Nexus, Jira, and Agility).
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, and/or container registries).
- Knowledge of automation principles and techniques (e.g., Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code, Everything-as-Code).
- Familiarity with AWS services and resources (e.g., compute, storage, networking, data processing, data messaging, security, identity management, and system monitoring).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of container resources, including ingress, services, config maps, persistent storage, stateful sets, namespaces, and deployments.
- Knowledge of AWS cost management and estimation.
- Familiarity with container scanning tools and techniques.
- Understanding of service mesh and side-car proxy patterns.
- Experience with container management and monitoring tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Beats, Grafana, APM).
