Job Description

Blackstone Shooting Sports is seeking a Lead Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your bookkeeping skills in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. You will work closely with the Controller and other departments to drive business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and documented.
  • Prepare and review financial statements with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Complete month-end and year-end closing processes on time.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and recommendations based on financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting.
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Estimated Salary:$70,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
