Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assembly and disassembly of valve actuators and geared products.
- Perform setup and testing of valve actuators.
- Provide field services including preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators.
- Travel to client locations as required to execute work assignments.
Essential Duties:
- Assemble new and refurbished valve actuators and gearboxes.
- Disassemble valve actuators and geared products as necessary.
- Measure, inspect, and evaluate repairs accurately.
- Interpret assembly drawings and work orders to ensure correct actuator setup.
- Utilize basic electrical tools and test benches effectively.
- Ensure valve actuators are configured to meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions proficiently.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely.
- Conduct safe rigging of materials and operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to Georgia Western's safety programs and site-specific safety protocols.
- Perform additional tasks related to the assembly and field services department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic understanding of electrical theories.
- Competence in basic mathematics.
- Ability to read wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with forklifts and cranes.
Preferred Skills:
- Welding experience.
- Manual machining skills.
- Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in repairing industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps.
