Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assembly and disassembly of valve actuators and geared products.
  • Perform setup and testing of valve actuators.
  • Provide field services including preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators.
  • Travel to client locations as required to execute work assignments.

Essential Duties:

  • Assemble new and refurbished valve actuators and gearboxes.
  • Disassemble valve actuators and geared products as necessary.
  • Measure, inspect, and evaluate repairs accurately.
  • Interpret assembly drawings and work orders to ensure correct actuator setup.
  • Utilize basic electrical tools and test benches effectively.
  • Ensure valve actuators are configured to meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions proficiently.
  • Operate forklifts and cranes safely.
  • Conduct safe rigging of materials and operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Adhere to Georgia Western's safety programs and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Perform additional tasks related to the assembly and field services department as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theories.
  • Competence in basic mathematics.
  • Ability to read wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience with forklifts and cranes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Welding experience.
  • Manual machining skills.
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in repairing industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps.
