Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assembly and disassembly of valve actuators and geared products.
  • Perform set-up and testing of valve actuators to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide field services, including preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators.
  • Travel to various customer locations as required to execute work duties.
  • Utilize basic electrical tools and test benches effectively.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and work orders for accurate actuator set-up.
  • Ensure all valve actuators meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and maintain compliance with DOT physical requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols as outlined in Georgia Western's safety program and site-specific guidelines.
  • Assist with other tasks related to the assembly and field services department.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theories.
  • Proficient in basic math skills.
  • Ability to read wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience operating forklifts and cranes.
  • Knowledge of rigging practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Welding experience.
  • Manual machining capabilities.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in repairing industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps.
