Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assembly and disassembly of valve actuators and geared products.
- Perform set-up and testing of valve actuators to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide field services, including preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators.
- Travel to various customer locations as required to execute work duties.
- Utilize basic electrical tools and test benches effectively.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings and work orders for accurate actuator set-up.
- Ensure all valve actuators meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Safely operate company vehicles and maintain compliance with DOT physical requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols as outlined in Georgia Western's safety program and site-specific guidelines.
- Assist with other tasks related to the assembly and field services department.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Basic understanding of electrical theories.
- Proficient in basic math skills.
- Ability to read wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience operating forklifts and cranes.
- Knowledge of rigging practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Welding experience.
- Manual machining capabilities.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in repairing industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps.
