Position Summary

This role acts as a key representative for the organization within various patient care settings, functioning as a vital link and executing essential pre-analytical responsibilities such as specimen collection, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and order entry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs prompt and precise specimen collection, processing, and management
  • Follows all departmental and organizational protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Aids in meeting departmental and system-wide goals
  • Exhibits independent problem-solving capabilities and collaborative teamwork skills
  • Maintains effective communication and interpersonal relationships with laboratory personnel and external partners
  • Ensures professional and ethical service for both internal and external clients
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, and travel between company locations as needed

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Licenses/Certifications: Preferred certification as a PBT/MLA through ASCP, AMT, or NHA
  • Experience: Completion of technical training as a Phlebotomist from an accredited program
