Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and select dedicated volunteers.
  • Identify community needs for volunteer services and maintain regular reporting.
  • Design and implement training programs for volunteers.
  • Supervise and assess volunteer performance, maintaining up-to-date personnel records.
  • Provide educational resources to individuals and community organizations regarding volunteer services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree in human services is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare or related fields.
  • Previous experience in hospice care and/or volunteer management is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the hospice care philosophy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop volunteer personnel.
