About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Surgeons and Anesthesiologists: Provide support to surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Prepare Operating Room: Set up and prepare the operating room for each procedure, including arranging equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain Sterile Environment: Ensure that the operating room remains sterile and free from contamination, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with the healthcare team, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Monitor Patient Safety: Continuously monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, reporting any concerns or issues to the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience: One year of experience in operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience, including a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Certification: National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery from National Center.
