Outpatient Primary Care Physician Opportunity

Job Summary:
The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and Clinics in Tampa, Florida.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a board eligible/board certified Internal Medicine/Family Practice Physician to lead our outpatient primary care practice and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in outpatient and urgent care settings, utilizing face-to-face visits and telemedicine.
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and review of clinical care within the medical center's CBOCs/OPCs.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with affiliates and stakeholders to promote education and research.
- Serve as a contact for affiliates and maintain responsibilities for developing and maintaining partnership in education and research.
- Take an active role as a member of the Local Leadership Council, including counsel of chiefs, Clinical Executive Board, and Quality Safety Value.
- Ensure the Medical Staff maintains the appropriate competency levels by promoting educational programs.
- Responsible for medical staff in the following levels of care: PACT/Primary Care, Specialty services to include: Pain, MSK, Women's Health, and Battlefield Acupuncture.
Requirements:
- Board eligible/board certified Internal Medicine/Family Practice Physician.
- Strong leadership and managerial experience and skills.
- Program development and implementation experience.
- System redesign and experience with performance measures and cultural transformation leading patient-centered care.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $180,000 - $243,000 per year.
- Recruitment/Relocation Incentive available for highly qualified candidates.
- Selected candidate may be eligible for student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).
