Job Title: County Market Wausau

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Bakery Associate at County Market Wausau. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and decorating donuts, cakes, and breads, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Mix, fry, and/or decorate donuts using production lists and recipes
  • Prepare bakery products, including a variety of donuts, cakes, and breads
  • Fill and rotate cases and displays, which may involve some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs)
  • Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep our shelves full
  • Help maintain a clean and sanitary store
  • Work with the team on all tasks necessary to have an awesome department
Requirements:
  • Be friendly and outgoing, promoting customer service for the entire team
  • Have experience working in a bakery or a similar environment
  • Know about pastries, breads, ovens, and good food
  • Attended Food Safety training
  • Be motivated to grow their career and continue learning

Physical Demands:
  • Lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling over 50 force lbs. (unloading bakery ingredients and supplies)
  • Walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting
  • Repetitive motion: turning, bending
Equipment Operation:
  • Scanner, scale, label machine, mixer, oven, donut fryer, donut glazer, pan washer, bread slicer, scraper, knives, box cutter, baker rack, pallet jack
Mental Demands:
  • Judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills
Environmental Demands:
  • Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces, working with hot grease
