Compensation:
$71.16 per hour, commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program with a focus in your area of practice.
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
- Relevant life support certification as required for the position.
- Credentialing through Medical Staff Services.
- Prescriptive authority as per medical staff service privileging process.
- Certification by ANCC or AANP, along with verification from the State Board of Nursing.
- Preferred: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant specialty.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, valid prior to start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments through observation, interviews, and examinations.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Deliver preventive health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
- Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, utilizing prescriptive authority and making referrals as necessary.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on preventive health, treatment options, and available community resources.
- Ensure care is delivered in a manner that respects age and cultural considerations, promoting informed choices and shared decision-making.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
