Role Overview:

The GI Endoscopy Technician II is responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care within the endoscopy unit. This role involves preparing the endoscopy environment, managing necessary equipment, and maintaining patient safety protocols while assisting healthcare professionals, including physicians and registered nurses. The technician will engage in a variety of patient care tasks, ranging from basic to complex procedures, in alignment with our organizational values and service standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience: 0-1+ years in outpatient settings or rural healthcare facilities. Experience in a 24-hour operational environment is a plus.
  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, with proof of education required upon request.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is essential.
    Experience Requirements: The technician should demonstrate the ability to independently handle low to moderate acuity cases and perform high-level disinfection. They should be capable of contributing to the daily operations of the endoscopy suite, with opportunities to mentor new staff or students once fully competent.
  • Additional Requirements: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is necessary. The candidate must be able to perform job-related tasks safely and effectively, with or without reasonable accommodations.
