About the RoleCD PROJEKT RED is seeking a highly skilled Lead PCG/Tools Engineer to join our Boston office and lead the development of procedural tools for Project Orion, the next major game in the Cyberpunk franchise. As a key member of the Orion team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and user-friendly PCG tools within Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of developers to design, develop, and maintain procedural tools for Project Orion.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to understand their needs and ensure that the PCG tools meet the project's requirements.
  • Research emerging trends in PCG, tools development, and Unreal Engine to drive innovation and improve tool efficiency.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure the tools contribute effectively to all game systems and components.
  • Write high-quality, optimized, and bug-free code that aligns with project goals.
  • Manage direct reports, provide guidance, and help them grow in their roles and ambitions.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of professional experience as a programmer in the games industry.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ programming and knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Experience with current-gen console hardware.
  • A good understanding of geometric algorithms and data structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Management experience and a good track record of leading and mentoring teams.
