The Gastroenterology Physician Assistant will receive comprehensive training in Gastrointestinal care under the supervision of a qualified physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document thorough patient histories, consultations, and follow-ups.
- Perform and record physical assessments pertinent to Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
- Evaluate patient conditions and consult with the Supervising Physician when necessary.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Document conversations and prescribed medications in patients' medical files.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical office setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support.
- Skills in health coaching and patient care.
- Knowledge of physiology and patient assessment techniques.
- Experience with administering injections and conducting physical examinations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.
