Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Buyer/QC to join our team at W3Global Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring chemicals from suppliers and coordinating with sales and production teams to maintain inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Purchasing and Procurement:
  • Place orders with suppliers and manage special requirements, such as Certificates of Analysis, product heating, maximum weights, and special equipment needs.
  • Enter purchase orders into the computer system and follow up with suppliers to track delivery schedules via third-party logistics.
  • Secure necessary documentation to comply with supply chain practices, including Certificates of Analysis and Bills of Lading.
  • Review supplier invoices for accuracy and approve them for payment.
  • Update and maintain accurate supplier and product pricing within the system.
  • Complete supplier non-conformance forms and Vendor Compensation forms/contracts as needed.
  • Pursue supplier pricing and support for marketing requests, as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
Inventory Management:
  • Receive stock requests from different plant locations and order products accordingly.
  • Negotiate pricing with assigned vendors.
  • Establish and monitor reorder points to maintain inventory flow using smart lists in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Perform chemical testing for quality control purposes and maintain production records.
  • Retain production samples and renew regulatory interstate registrations.
  • File EPA reports and maintain FDA-required QC records.
Special Projects and Product Development:
  • Work on special projects assigned by sales and product development, including formulating new products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science field (preferred).
  • Mid-level experience in sourcing, procurement, and purchasing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.
