Pathway of Hope Caseworker

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pathway of Hope Caseworker to join our team. As a key member of our social services department, you will play a vital role in implementing the Pathway of Hope program, utilizing strength-based case management to empower families and individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities- Distribute Information and Resources: Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and stakeholders to ensure the effective dissemination of Pathway of Hope information and resources.
- Case Management and Support: Recruit and engage families interested in developing their level of sufficiency, and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Salvation Army Information Management System (SIMS), and ensure client files are up-to-date and compliant with Pathway of Hope guidelines.
- Collaboration and Training: Participate in regular cluster meetings and training opportunities to stay informed about best practices and program developments.
- Additional Duties: Assist with other duties as requested by the Corps Officer, Pathway of Hope Regional Coordinator, or Divisional Social Services Director.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required.
- Background Checks: A background check will be completed as part of the hiring process.
- Experience: At least one year of casework experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license, complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment, and obtain Caseworker Certification Program within 120 days of hire.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational skills, ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and proficiency in Microsoft products and electronic reporting systems.
This position is performed in a typical office environment, with occasional weekend and evening work required. The physical requirements include good speaking, hearing, and vision ability, as well as excellent manual dexterity.
