About the Role

The successful candidate will perform MRI exams in accordance with exam procedures and protocols, utilizing independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts high-quality MRI procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of timeliness and efficiency.
  • Provides personalized care to patients, escorting them to treatment rooms and assisting with dressings as necessary.
  • Ensures timely completion of paperwork, guaranteeing seamless delivery of MRI services.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, explaining MRI procedures to address concerns and questions.
  • Administers I.V. contrast while maintaining radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Reviews related paperwork and obtains interpretation by radiologists, ensuring accurate diagnoses.
  • Monitors machine performance, conducting quality control measures and reporting malfunctions or need for adjustments to site managers.
  • Fosters a professional atmosphere by providing exceptional customer service and interacting courteously with patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-2+ years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types is required.
  • ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure are mandatory.
  • Siemens and GE experience are preferred.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
