Job Summary

University Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian Specialist Endocrinology to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering effective nutrition care to patients with endocrine disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Nutrition Care Plans: Develop and implement decision-making tools for complex cases in the area of endocrinology.
  • Critical Thinking and Decision Making: Demonstrate proficiency in professional judgment and strategic thinking in practice.
  • Communication and Education: Provide education to staff, interns, and other healthcare professionals in the hospital in the area of expertise.
  • Leadership: Lead in updating and development of policies and procedures and SOP.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Comply with Policies and Standards: Comply with all policies and standards of University Hospitals.
  • Qualifications: Refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Protected Health Information (PHI): Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition (Required) and Master's Degree or specialty certification (Required).
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience working as a clinical dietitian in an acute care hospital (Preferred).
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Completion of an ACEND accredited Supervised Practice Program (Required proficiency), Must remain in good standing with both accrediting boards (Required proficiency), and other required proficiencies.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire (Required), Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Upon Hire (Required), and other required certifications.
