Job Overview: As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service while managing the Front End operations during periods when store management is unavailable. Your responsibilities will encompass supervising staff, addressing customer inquiries and concerns, and ensuring a tidy and secure work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with company standards
  • Manage emergencies, customer complaints, and incidents
  • Oversee the sales floor and ensure timely product replenishment
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Assist with stocking shelves and upholding store cleanliness
  • Operate cash registers and manage customer transactions
  • Support office tasks and perform basic administrative duties
  • Supervise team members during shifts
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in customer service
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and follow directions
  • Familiarity with retail operations
  • Capability to work independently
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a retail environment

Supervisory Duties: Responsible for overseeing all store personnel in the absence of management.

Permits/Licenses: Requirements may vary based on location.

Work Environment:

Indoors: 100% Outdoors: Rarely

Temperature Extremes: Not Applicable

Chemicals: Infrequently

Equipment Used:

Includes six-wheeled carts, grocery carts, box cutters, writing instruments, cleaning supplies, telecommunication devices, cash registers, credit card readers, computers, pallet jacks, and bailers.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting: Regularly lifts 1-10 lbs, frequently lifts 11-20 lbs, occasionally lifts 21-35 lbs.

Carrying: Occasionally carries 1-10 lbs, rarely carries 11-50 lbs.

Pushing/Pulling: Regularly pushes/pulls 1-10 lbs, occasionally pushes/pulls 11-20 lbs.

Reaching: Frequent reaching from knee to shoulder height, seldom overhead reaching.

Standing: Continuous standing, sitting permitted during breaks.

Walking: Frequent walking.

Climbing/Balance: Rarely required.

Trunk Functions: Frequent bending and twisting.

Upper Extremity: Constant handling and grasping.

Vision: Requires peripheral vision and depth perception.

Hearing: Necessary for communication with customers and staff.

Speech: Essential for effective communication.
