Job Overview

Position: Shop Technician

Focus: Aftermarket Equipment Installations

A reputable and expanding leader in the aftermarket truck service sector is seeking a skilled Shop Technician with robust diagnostic capabilities. The ideal candidate will engage in mechanical, electronic, and electrical tasks on mid to heavy-duty trucks. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in servicing these vehicles, along with exceptional customer service skills, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of New Aftermarket Equipment:
  • Utility trucks and equipment
  • Providing side bars, grill guards, and service beds on medium/heavy-duty trucks
  • Maintaining precise records of parts, services, and labor to monitor costs
  • Submitting all work and repair orders as necessary
  • Ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Executing all tasks in line with best practices for a safe working environment
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Over three (3) years of experience in maintenance and repair of utility trucks and equipment
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Ownership of personal tools
  • Capability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
  • Experience with servicing diesel, medium, or heavy trucks, or related equipment
  • General mechanical knowledge, including hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with aftermarket truck parts and equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to document repair activities
  • High school diploma or GED; vocational training is a plus
