About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Gym Floor Instructor at the YMCA of Greater Providence. In this role, you will be responsible for leading group fitness classes and ensuring a safe and clean environment for our members.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, demonstrate maturity, and possess excellent communication skills. They will also be passionate about fitness and wellness, and have a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead group fitness classes in accordance with YMCA standards and guidelines.
  • Supervise and reinforce proper strength training procedures.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for members.
  • Set up and break down equipment as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with members and staff.

Requirements:
  • High School degree or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of health or member service-related experience.
