Fitness Instructor

Job Summary:
A career opportunity exists for a Fitness Center Floor Staff member at the YMCA of Greater Providence. This role involves providing quality instruction of aerobics and fitness classes, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and promoting wellness in the community.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in health or member service-related fields, a high school degree or equivalent, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide enjoyable and high-quality class instruction to members
* Ensure proper exercise techniques are demonstrated and instructed according to program standards
* Monitor the fitness area for safety and cleanliness, addressing any concerns or hazards
* Set up and break down equipment as needed
* Develop and maintain relationships with members, providing personalized support and guidance

Requirements:
* High school degree or equivalent
* 1-3 years of experience in health or member service-related fields
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation and Benefits:
* Estimated salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year
