ABOUT US

Climate change is governed by fundamental principles regarding carbon sources, accumulation, impacts, and, crucially, effective solutions. These principles must guide our strategies, demonstrating that mitigating dangerous climate change is only achievable through robust policies aimed at significant carbon reductions in the largest emitting countries.

Established in 2012, Energy Innovation is a clean energy and environmental policy firm dedicated to providing timely research and analysis on low-carbon energy policy options for policymakers, thought leaders, and media representatives. Our team possesses expertise in energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable urban development, technological innovation, and energy policy design. In addition to conducting policy research, we collaborate with clients to facilitate philanthropic investments in technology and advocacy that contribute to greenhouse gas emission reductions. Energy Innovation also supports the Climate Imperative Foundation.

Climate Imperative focuses on pivotal climate policy decisions globally, striving for equitable outcomes. Each initiative targets a specific policy area, aiming to inform policy change that could save billions of tons of CO2e by 2050. We convene and support a talented team of grantees for each initiative, providing world-class technical advice, targeted communications, and building public support. The decisions we target represent the largest near-term carbon abatement opportunities worldwide.

Energy Innovation promotes a hybrid work environment, requiring employees to gather in person periodically throughout the year.
